In my country I had to call the police as there was no wellness checks or even social workers to call. My poor friend at the time was having an episode episode cried to me that I betrayed him. But at that moment I only though of saving myself. The police do take people to the hospital for evaluation and then mental health facilities.When I told mom what happened, she told me not to worry and that it wasn't stolen, she had just borrowed it. To be honest, I did lose my cool once I realized she wasn't joking. She insisted she'd cashapp me the money when she gets paid the next day, and that she thought she'd be able to handle it before I even noticed.

But, as someone whose house got swatted when I was 10, police left a huge trauma.
