OEM SBC HP Rating 3970010. I have a high nickel 010 block casting number 3970010, that is at the machine shop right now. It's a 4 bolt block NOT splayed, with stock caps. I hear they are good for about 850 hp at the crank and the main webbing is critical after that. I am putting a callies compstar crank and rods in it with JE slugs.The chance of it being a 302 is almost nil, and it being a 327 is almost as small. The 3970010 casting number was most commonly used to build 350s. Chances are probably 99.5% that its a 350.
